OUR STORY

Walk by faith and not by sight - two best friends with a dream.
Story told by co-owner Jenny Bope.

It's so crazy to think where we all started a few years ago doing hair. I sometimes sit and think how unreal all of this really is. From working at a place that was sucking my soul away and causing my passion to do hair to dwindle. When I say this I am being completely serious (which is why I have this saying tattooed on me) walk by faith and not by sight. In 2014, I was mentally shattered. I knew I couldn't continue working in such a hostile environment. I still remember the morning sitting by myself in my house while the kids napped and I heard God say "today is the day". I knew what He was talking about. I called my aunt to come over to watch the kids. I left the house and went to my job and quit. I had never felt more pressure come off of me.
I remember the vision I had in my head since I was a little girl, being in my aunt's salon (Bizarre Dimensions), I had always dreamed of having my own in my hometown one day. Whether it happened or not…. I didn’t believe it would. My vision I saw long ago was of our place now (do you know how many times I’ve had déjà vu)! It’s funny who God puts in your path to bring a vision to life. Certain things happening to push you to the next level, to the next dream, and then really saying to yourself God has such a great vision for me. Truly even more than what I thought I could have!
Fast forward to 2020, Danielle Bray and I finally took the step and decided it was time. This girl has been with me since I started at Bizarre Dimensions and I couldn’t be more grateful for her. I’m so blessed that the vision I had included her in it as a partner. We opened Hair Loft 120 during the hardest time in everyone’s life because of Covid and yet we did it. Four girls crammed into a small 425 sq. ft. space and we still made it happen
I just kept hearing God tell me, there’s more, continue building, keep going, and I often pushed it away. Why? Because I was content. But, one day I realized being content wasn’t what I really wanted. God kept showing me things, telling me things, and finally one day I brought it to Danielle saying I want the other side to expand. The vision I once saw in 2014 was not yet complete and I knew there was more to our story. I know this is long and most probably won’t read it. But there is so much more to my testimony in this life. After a long 2.5 years we finally opened the other side of our salon, Hair Loft 120. Sometimes we wanted to give up, throw in the towel, and I am so glad we didn’t. Not only have we grown our square footage, but we also went from 4 girls to a total of 9. Yeah, I can’t believe it either!
We are so grateful to have business friends who believed in us and pushed us to talk to our current landlord now to rent his place. They have answered our questions about business and helped push us to start our own. We have an amazing town, with a wonderful community, our dreams are now reality, and we are beyond blessed to be able to serve you and do what we love!
